This position has a direct impact within the department acting as our senior technologist. We require a Bachelor's degree in information technology or related technical education and four years experience working with current computer hardware, software, and networking technologies. Eight years additional experience may be substituted for the degree. Prior utility experience A++.
The applicant with extensive experience with Microsoft Windows 2016/2019 Server, Windows 10, VMWare vSphere 6, Cisco IOS, MS Office suite, MS SQL, and Active Directory will succeed in this position. Additional experience with MS Exchange 2016/2019 and VMWare Horizon View 7 is beneficial. Duties include operation and maintenance of a virtualized server / VDI environment, WAN/LAN network infrastructure administration, and OS & application configuration, management, troubleshooting & automation. Directly participates in our continuous improvement program by upgrading, documenting, configuring and maintaining of our established application systems. Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot and correct problems as well as assume direct responsibility for business continuity and disaster recovery.
