Salem Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Facilities Manager to join the team!
The Facilities Manager assumes responsibility for efficient and effective operation of the maintenance department. Maintains boilers, generators, fire pumps and all other areas in the facility. Assists the Associate Vice President in performing a variety of duties to maintain the operation of the plant to ensure optimum comfort, efficiency and energy conservation.
The responsibilities of the Facilities Manager include:
-In consultation with the Associate Vice President, the facilities manager assures that managed departments maintain services in accordance with the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State and Local standards.
-Ensures that all requirements for building, plant and grounds safety and security are maintained with documentation of routine inspections and incidents in accordance with standards.
-Ensures that all required inspections and certifications by local agencies are maintained.
-Assures that managed departments maintain all equipment and supplies required in the provision of departmental services in optimum operational status with procurement or replacement of equipment as needed.
-Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the hospital; recommends painting, repairs and furnishings. Reports any unsafe conditions.
-Performs Quality Assurance inspections to ensure compliance with safety and sanitary procedures. Coordinates with other departments as necessary.
-Ensures compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and work orders as required.
-Responsible for the bidding process for all projects under the Facilities Management Department and submits to the Director of the Department.
-Creates and maintains all documents required by all regulatory bodies for all projects. Maintains contact with vendors and sales representatives concerning new product and equipment information.
-Coordinates the effective management of all Environment of Care (EOC) regulatory standards. Serves of the EOC committee and well versed in the Joint Commission standards.
-Orders appropriate supplies as needed.
-Maintains all records for the facility department.
-Performs scheduling duties.
-Performs all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Education: High School Diploma required.
Experience: Five years of Health Care Maintenance experience required. Supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates: Black Seal License required. Valid Driver's license required.
