An Administrative Assistant provides office services and general assistance as required to give the department efficient and reliable support to the Right of Way Department. We’re looking for someone who can maintain a high degree of situational awareness to meet continually changing system conditions with a fresh and adaptable approach. In this position, you will be given the opportunity to work alongside peers who are versatile, enthusiastic, and continuing to strive to push AECI and our mission forward.
Provides general assistance to the Department Administrative Assistant and other personnel as needed by making copies, distributing correspondence, typing reports, etc.
Answers, screens, and transfers inbound phone calls from a multi-line phone system; sorts and distributes incoming mail.
Maintains accurate electronic filing systems for ongoing projects and actives.
Retrieves and complies data and statistics for use in various projects and proposals.
Serves as a backup to the Department Administrative Assistant and is responsible for fulfilling the duties in the event of an absence or extended leave.
The ability to handle stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work 10 hours shifts (Monday – Thursday)
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Must be comfortable communicating with all levels within an organization
