Within the Energy and Natural Resources, the Financial & Capital Markets team supports the financial industry for all ENR needs ranging from Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables to Chemicals and Metals & Mining. It is a very dynamic and successful team looking to add some resources to support the senior account managers with a view to converting into a sales role within two years.
You will be a key member of the ENR FCM sales team with a defined territory of clients to cover for renewals and new business.
Key responsibilities include:
Create a clear and compelling growth strategy for the energy portfolio in the region, to include white space analysis, prospect identification and prioritization, competitor displacement, value propositions and sales tactics
Lead the creation of topical sales plays and rigorously qualified target lists for those plays
Drive new business opportunities with focus on those > $50k, ensuring that value arguments, objection handling and other key product-related attributes are managed in a best in class manner and generate higher win rates
Maintain and develop key client relationships
Work with product and sales groups in the execution of contracts
Renewal of existing contracts
Maintain a clean administrative hygiene of your book of business
Handle internal communication and reporting
You are an experienced sales person with strong interest in the ENR sector. You enjoy working as part of a matrix organisation as an independent worker, with excellent communication and organisation skills.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 6+ broad based experience with another market data vendor or investment bank with exposure to managing complex relationships and /or processes
Knowledge and experience of the ENR sector
Knowledge and experience of capital markets
Proven track record of operating in the financial and capital markets in London
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong inter-personal and influencing skills
Ability to manage complex relationships, with a primary objective of increasing revenue streams year-on-year and building pipeline
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to engage at a senior level with both clients and internal stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of an additional European language
