We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic junior salesperson (Business Development Associate) to join our German institutional sales team which is currently composed of two experienced Relationship Managers (RMs). The German institutional market forms a key part of Capital Group's plan to grow our European and distribution businesses.
This position is an integral part of the German sales team. You will work with the Relationship Managers responsible for growing and developing Capital's institutional business. You will focus on activity designed to maximise sales opportunities with clients and prospects; specifically setting up meetings, often via cold calls, generating leads and working closely with RMs on pre and post meeting sales generation. The successful candidate will work predominantly with the RMs in Germany but will report to the Manager of the BDA team.
The role is based in our Frankfurt office which also houses a dedicated German Marketing Manager, Client Relations Associate and the Financial Intermediary team. Travel permitting, we would expect the successful candidate to spend the some of their induction period in our London office where the majority of our European Distribution associates reside including relevant departments (e.g. Marketing, Investment Directors, and Investment Professionals etc.)
Making outbound calls to introduce Capital and secure meetings with prospects for the sales team
Preparing the RMs for prospecting meetings
Coordination of follow-up items from each meeting including entering high quality call reports into the CRM system, Salesforce.com
Handling inbound prospect or due diligence requests
Proactively managing and resolving internal issues relating to winning business
Liaison with other teams at Capital as part of the sales cycle (Sales teams in other markets, Investment Directors, Investment Professionals, Marketing, Client Relations, RFP team, Client Operations, Legal etc)
Involvement in CG hosted or third party events as part of our brand-building efforts across Germany
Over time, taking on more client responsibilities including the development of a sales strategy, setting up prospecting meetings and promoting Capital. These responsibilities will grow as you develop more experience at Capital and progress towards becoming a Senior Business Development Associate. As client responsibilities grow, so will the requirements to travel around Germany.
