About the Position
We are currently seeking a Traffic Project Engineer to add to our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and passionate self-starter to work directly with local and national land development projects. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary office environment. The Traffic Project Engineer assists in the approval and development of public and private projects within their development team.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced, specialized engineering/planning work requiring independent judgment
Prepare technical reports
Plan, schedule, and ensure the efficient and timely completion of all phases of projects
Research local design standards for preparation of traffic studies
Assist with training of junior staff
Present information and/or findings to public agencies, review boards, governing bodies, or private citizens
Education
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Transportation Planning
PE strongly preferred
AICP certified professional preferred
Experience
4 or more years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning,
Qualifications
Knowledge of traffic analysis software, (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM preferred);
Experience in project management and staff management is a plus.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience
