The Company’s service offerings are supported by proprietary software developed in-house.
SRECTrade works with asset owners to ensure eligibility and certification for environmental commodity market participation, as well as a variety of other market participants including state regulators, regulated utilities, commodity trading firms, competitive electricity suppliers, transportation fuel market participants, project developers, installers, and clean energy financing companies. As such, SRECTrade has developed strong professional relationships with participants across the clean energy industry and environmental markets nationwide.
The Director, Renewable Energy will be responsible for leading the management and growth of SRECTrade’s Renewable Energy sales, services, and channel partner efforts. The Director will act as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Director, Business Development with regards to the Company’s business initiatives in renewable energy markets. The primary focus will be on North American REC markets and will include other geographies and markets as determined to be appropriate.
The Director is directly responsible for being the general manager and leading the Renewable Energy business unit and team. All sales, strategic, and operational elements of the business unit will roll up to the Director’s oversight.
Refine and expand the Renewable Energy business unit to support the Company’s current and evolving growth strategy.
Work cross functionally within the Company and develop relationships with other business leaders (e.g. technology and operations teams) to leverage and improve our product offering.
Communicate sales and operational results and updates to CEO and Director, Business Development on a recurring basis.
Lead strategic initiatives including development of sales and marketing (existing and new) efforts.
Identification of new market opportunities and legislative/regulatory developments, and further expansion of SRECTrade’s Renewable Energy services.
KPI/scorecard development and management to help drive accountability and associated reporting.
Manage existing team of four Renewable Energy account managers in distributed locations. Lead recruitment and retention, aligned with Company growth, with an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
The role requires a candidate that can learn quickly, think clearly, provide positive influence throughout the organization, and will thrive in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment. Candidates should bring 10-15+ years of experience in a high growth business development and management function, including successful managerial and leadership roles in respected companies known for being successful in their industry.
Experience as a general manager or leader of a business unit in a recurring revenue technology-oriented business.
Renewable energy, environmental commodities and/or financial technology industry experience is a plus.
Track record of successfully scaling business units organically and inorganically.
Demonstration and history of growing and building teams of people from single digit to double digit headcount is important.
Natural leadership style of being transparent and promptly communicating with all stakeholders.
Broad experience presenting to, interacting with, and influencing C-level and Board level executives.
Openness to a mission-orientated, fast-paced, for-profit growth organization.
Direct communicator who thrives in a collaborative organization.
Data-driven decision-making process that can be effectively articulated to others.
Systematic thinker with the ability to put processes in place to allow the business to scale.
