This position is a part of the Sales Negotiation Support and Contract Management Team of Verizon Enhanced Communities (VEC). You will have primary responsibilities including Legal/Business Term Review, Business Development Manager (BDM)/Sales Support, Template generation, Contract Management and Customer Service and as well as various special projects.
Draft, review and revise Marketing, Bulk and other VEC Agreements that are negotiated by BDMs to ensure that redlines proposed by multi-family dwelling property owners and their representatives are acceptable to Verizon and finalize these agreements which protect Verizon’s marketing, business and financial interests and increase revenue for the company.
Work directly with both internal stakeholders and external contacts (property representatives and attorneys) to assist BDMs with negotiations.
Prepare amendments to existing agreements as needed.
Draft all notices including notices of default, price increases, etc.
Work in close collaboration and coordination with in-house counsel to finalize all agreements, amendments and legal documents before execution.
Timely respond and track all requests, and provide reports to the leadership team.
Generally support BDMs in all aspects of agreement negotiations and execution processes including:Documenting procedures, Training new BDMs, Conducting ongoing training for all Sales personnel.
Review and evaluate agreement templates to identify areas for improvement in both process and document templates including modifying templates for broader use to increase efficiencies without increasing company risk in order to reduce time spent negotiating agreements.
E2E life cycle management of post contract execution issues including but not limited to entries and research in the following databases: Contract Administration Tool (CAT), Accounts & Commissions Administration tool (vECAP), Finance portal for Vendor ID Requests.
Proactive monitoring for accuracy and accountability for agreement integrity.
Maintain working relationships with other support groups (within and outside of VEC) to ensure they have an understanding and are able to support the BDM process as their roles require (e.g. legal, risk management, engineering, accounts payable, vendor management, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve problems/issues regarding executed agreements and property owner’s/staff’s execution of terms and agreements.
Assisting with and interpreting terms of the agreement for Sales, Bulk Ops and Account Management teams, etc.
Provide training and support for vECAP.
Resolve billing and commission payment issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems/issues regarding Bulk billing and Marketing commissions payments.
Provide training and support for vECAP use for property owners/staff.
Participate in cross functional team initiatives such as Bulk M&Ps and Premises Access License procedures.
Participate in the implementation of contract automation initiatives.
Identify and explore process changes to reduce overlap of work among resources.
Assist with Requests for Proposal (RFP) review.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience drafting legal documents and agreements.
Project management experience /Expertise in using Microsoft Excel and Word (specifically the “Tracking” or “Redlining” functions of MS Word).
Six or more years of legal contract management experience in a corporate environment.
Sales support and Customer service experience.
Even better if you have:
Experience with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Finance.
Ability to manage a large number of simultaneous tasks and keep on schedule.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
Juris Doctor or Certified Paralegal.
