Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Survey Field Technician to join our dynamic and growing Survey - Geomatics team in Orlando, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform field work efforts for land surveying services of all types
Operate survey total station, GNSS / GPS and level instruments
Record survey data in field books and / or data collector
Maintain field equipment in a clean and secure manner
Perform pre - start vehicle checks to ensure operability, maintenance and safety
Assist with survey file processing and field calculations
Work on several jobs simultaneously
Maintain good client relations
Project Related Responsibilities:
All facets of surveying projects including but not limited to:
Collection of record data for boundary surveys
Establish project control monumentation
Collection of topographic information for 3D mapping
Coordinate with office staff
Providing construction layout on Wood project
Skills / Qualifications
Desired Background and Skills:
A minimum High School Diploma or GED. Preference and additional compensation will be given to those with survey - geomatics experience, certifications or training such as the Certified Survey Technician (CST) program, but entry - level candidates are encouraged to apply
Appropriate health and safety knowledge / training
Good written and verbal communication skills
Superior organizational skills
Basic computer skills and technical competence
Commitment to take on the challenging work within the Wood organization
Valid driver’s license
Ability to travel to project site for extended periods of time
Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Preference will be given to those familiar with utility locating
Physical Demands:
Performing work in a variety of climate conditions including hot and cold weather climates
Ability to work in field walking, standing, and using a variety of hand - held equipment for extended periods is required
Must be able to work in a field environment and have the ability to travel as required
