Seeking State of Good Repair Program – Execution team Intern

As an intern at NJ Transit, you will oversee projects from concepts to completion. Our interns step away from the regular sitting at the desk to having the opportunity at hands-on experience with several other business units within NJ Transit. Objective of this role:
Assist Program Manager, Assistant Program Manager with their day to day responsibilities in managing design, construction and project management of the State of Good Repair Projects for NJT facilities.
Attend meetings in the office and in the field, participate in field visits, review invoices, design/ construction documents, prepare reports, presentation, coordination with various stakeholders etc.
Other responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Working towards a degree in Civil, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical (Sophomore, Junior, or Graduate Student).
Engineering education background in any of the above listed disciplines, organizational, self-motivated and willing to learn
Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, good oral and communication skills
Knowledge of scheduling software beneficial
Ability to make site visits and able to work in railroad environment
