The LifeFlight Lead Administrative Assistant/ Ambulance Billing Coordinator serves as a primary resource for daily operations and provides administrative and business support to complex area(s), and ambulance service coding / billing processing, independently. Serves as a liaison with internal/external groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs key administrative functions which may include serving as representative of the organizational area.
Proactively facilitates and manages administrative functions.
Supports and coordinates area initiatives.
Compiles data, analyzes information and summarizes findings in support of an area. Analyzes and prepares budgetary data.
Reviews daily ground transport ambulance service reports to ensure quality documentation and completeness, in order to prepare for coding / billing data process entry.
Determines and applies appropriate ambulance coding / billing data entry daily and participates in charge reconciliation to ensure accuracy, compliance and quality.
Determines, supports, and processes a variety of other specialty billing procedures in support of the departments multi-divisional needs.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight provides solutions for all emergency medical transport needs. LifeFlight will transport a patient to any medically appropriate hospital, and our crews have access to the region's only Level I Trauma Center, Burn Center and Children's Hospital, all at Vanderbilt. LifeFlight is a key part of a trauma system that includes pre-hospital care, definitive care, rehabilitation and injury prevention. We are nationally recognized for quality and safety.
