Primary responsibility includes but is not limited to analysis, design, implementation, and support of various enterprise wide business systems throughout the company. Installation of and troubleshoot issues for applications installed and maintained by Business Information Systems (BIS). Must apply knowledge of IT support techniques across various computer systems. Responsible for end user support, patching, and upgrading of both third party and in-house business applications. Position will work closely with Developers, Analysts, and business users in the design, development, and implementation of applications.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for the design, testing, debugging, implementing and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas.
Provides technical support for business processes/workflows and interfaces.
Responsible for installing, patching, and upgrading business applications.
Troubleshoots problems of any degree of complexity and sees them through unit/system and user acceptance testing.
Supports business users in the use of BIS Applications.
Works closely with business counterparts to understand and document business requirements and to gain a thorough understanding of the business processes.
Prepares fit-gap analysis and functional specifications for requested enhancements based upon detailed understanding of various software, process best practices, and client requirements. This will include developing multiple solutions, evaluating each solution, and making a recommendation for the appropriate solution.
Works with software vendors and consultants to identify and resolve user and technical problems.
Prepares functional, technical and process documentation as required for user support, technical support and user training.
Actively participates in a user group/community and keeps up-to-date on future software/application delivered functionality.
Keeps up-to-date on new ways to support applications and maintains existing skills and knowledge.
Coordinates and participates in system testing for enhancements and projects.
Takes the lead for a task, project or project team when assigned by the supervisor.
Works closely with rest of IT support team to enhance their functional understanding of the system and applications.
Keeps informed on the rapid changes in the computer industry, both hardware and software, and recommends how these developments can be utilized to improve efficiencies of operation.
Interacts with all levels of Cooperative Energy personnel in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance.
Provides 24 hour/7 days per week on-call support.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science Or
Bachelor's Degree Information Systems
Experience Requirements:
3 years Application Development, Implementation, and Support Experience
Certifications and Licensures:
Successfully pass a security sensitive background screening Required

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Ability to develop and/or modify and adapt systems, hardware configurations, and programs to meet stated goals.
Ability to evaluate and interpret end-user information requirements.
Knowledge of front-end web development, HTML, JavaScript, Java, .NET, C#, Python, Visual Basic.
Skilled in SQL, PL/SQL, reporting, and dashboarding against Oracle and SQL Server databases.
XML and Bi Publisher experience
Exceptional ability to diagnose and solve system problems while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.
Capable of working under pressure to meet aggressive deadlines with limited resources.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in events, processes and priorities.
Strong self-initiative to meet project deliverables and overcomes issues.
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision as well as within a team environment.
