The Masters School (mastersny.org) is a premier coeducational day and boarding school that engages students in grades 5 through 12 with a challenging academic program in a welcoming learning environment. Our Middle School has approximately 175 students and 32 faculty and staff. Our Middle School’s educational philosophy sets us apart from other schools. Fifth grade boys and girls learn together in small groups. The Middle School curriculum includes an emphasis on experience-based learning: students participate in hands-on projects and intensive class discussions that help build critical and creative writing skills.

SUMMARY:
SUMMARY: The Masters School seeks a skilled and experienced educator to lead a team of health and wellness teachers in the design and delivery of a 5-12 program and to teach middle school health and wellness classes. Ideal candidates will have a degree in health education or a related field, experience working with young people and have best practice knowledge of current trends in nutrition, sex education and mental health education. This full-time position offers the opportunity to help students build and practice the skills necessary to make healthy and responsible choices and to achieve balance in the social, emotional, and physical aspects of their lives. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion, within and outside the classroom.
