The assistant to the head of school & registrar is responsible for administrative support of the head of school, the board of trustees, and the broader school community. This position reports to the head of school.
Assist the head of school by managing a busy calendar and liaising with the parent body, faculty, staff and wider BDS community; plan, coordinate and assist with school wide events in collaboration with other departments; take meeting minutes as a member of the admin and calendar teams, as well as for faculty meetings.
Support the work of the board of trustees by planning board meetings, organizing trustee events, assisting with preparations of materials, and sending communications to the BDS community on behalf of the board.
As registrar, manage the distribution of academic reports and summer mailings and the student information database; manage the applying-out process for students leaving before grade 8.
Create the annual school master calendar; support the school by coordinating meeting/event spaces; purchase supplies; and contribute to school duties.
Individually and as a member of the administrative team, assist faculty and parents as needed in their various projects and events and act as an ambassador of the head’s office.
Other duties in support of the school as assigned by the head.
Exceptional technology competency using Google docs on a Mac platform, MS office suite, Adobe publishing software, and database programs, Veracross and Zoom experience a plus.
