We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer who is seeking experience and certification in best practise DevSecOps within AWS together with SaaS collaboration tools in a dynamic scale-up environment.
You should be skeptical and diligent, lazy in that you want to focus your energy on solving the problems suited to human interpretation and keen to script or otherwise automate those aspects of your role that are better suited to a machine to perform. You should be eager to understand new technology, but wary in trusting it and willing to ask questions and challenge assumptions. Day-to-day, you should be comfortable at the command line or in a GUI interface, according to the tools you're using.
This position would suit someone with 2-4 years experience as a DevOps or Security Engineer, or as a SecOps Analyst with hands-on DevOps skills, preferably with experience in Financial Services or other regulated industry.
You will have the following responsibilities as part of this role:
Develop and enhance information security policies and procedures
Implement protections within our platform and SaaS estate
Maintain and review security configuration of our platform and SaaS estate
Perform administrative duties such as creating new users, manage groups, manage our fleet, and so forth
Test for vulnerabilities
Monitor for security breaches and threats
We would expect you to attain Professional Collaboration Engineer certification within 12 months, and would encourage pursuit of other relevant certifications, i.e. CompTIA Security+, AWS DevOps and CISM in due course.
Do you have these skills and experiences to draw on?
Experience with DevOps tooling such as Terraform and Puppet
Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
Skeptical approach to new technologies, solutions, practices and processes
Whilst not required, the following experience will be helpful in the role:
Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
Finance experience, particularly hedge-funds or asset management
Ability to communicate network security issues to peers and management
Ability to read and use the results of malicious code and anti-virus software
Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
We can only accept people who have the right to work in the UK.
If you think this a great description of you, we'd love to hear from you! Please send your CV, with a cover letter that explains why you think you're the right person for the role.
