Responsibilities
To manage a portfolio of Oil & Gas accounts, comprising global traders, integrated players and NOCs/ SOEs/ Oil Majors.
To implement strategy and action plans for the accounts responsible for.
To evaluate and make judgments on the credit risk applications and to be personally accountable for portfolio under management.
To engage in structuring of credit facilities, providing innovative solution to clients and cross-selling of full suite of banking products such as vessel financing, DCE, IRS, FX, cash management etc. as well as explore financing possibilities moving up the value chain to midstream and upstream.
To handle trade transactions and seek approval on transactional deviations if required, ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines.
To negotiate loan and facility legal documentation, mindful of balancing protecting the Bank's interests with clients' interests.
To have close cross-border collaboration and strengthen connectivity with DBS network, leveraging on franchise and product capability to increase revenue share, and to scale/ replicate across the ecosystem.
To have good cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders including but not limited to STMO/ STO, GTS, Credit, T&M, Compliance.
To manage the potential risks from litigation, regulatory and other claims in areas of responsibility and to negotiate as required in complex situations.
To manage reporting of information to our auditors and regulators ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory policies and guidelines.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years' relevant experience. Previous working experience in Commodities, with particular focus on oil & gas industry, will be strongly preferred
Good knowledge of various financial solutions products and documentation
Good ability in driving regional business and connectivity across different geographies
Confidence in pitching ideas at the level of the CEOs and CFOs
Highly resourceful individual who should also be a team player
Good negotiator
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (incumbent has to manage portfolio of Chinese-speaking clients)
