The Director, Strategic Execution and Implementation is responsible for oversight and leadership of assigned product lines for strategic and tactical customer implementations and onboarding activities for McKesson patient support programs. This role will be the secondary owner for all operational and strategic activities of customer onboarding and will be required to lead a team in successfully managing multi-faceted complex implementations. The Director will be charged with overseeing and monitoring activities and coordinating between various business units to ensure controls and processes are in place to drive success through the implementation process as well as being the escalation point for customers ensuring onboarding needs are being met. This individual is responsible for overseeing implementations and mentoring a team of strategic implementation specialists that drive consultative partnerships with our customers. The role is responsible to ensure their customer relationships are growing and ensuring long term program stability and providing strategic direction for their team while ensuring their teams' programs serve to advance the strategic and operational goals of our customers and McKesson.
Manages a strategic execution and implementation team by driving a consultative approach to customer/program onboarding which will be measured by customer satisfaction surveys post launch.
Ensure programs and customers are onboarded in the timeline required and with guidance from the team on developing an effective patient journey.
Manages monthly review sessions with team that reinforces the product knowledge
necessary to be successful.
Create an effective handoff strategy from sales cycle into the strategic execution
process that can be effectively monitored and reported.
Create and present implementation reviews to management that demonstrate the value provided to customers through the strategic execution process
Enhance relationships within Pharma customers that extended to management brand level individuals and demonstrate the value of programs and set expectations for customers (35% of time)
Monitor and report to management monthly on new implementation overall profitability. Ensure processes are in place to monitor implementation investments and that the program run rates are performing at the target profit plan based on initial pricing
Manages standardization reviews of existing process and support strategies to enable operational excellence in implementation and present monthly.
Manage a strategy plan that provides analysis and detailed roadmap for creating growth of team and process toward becoming truly recognized experts in both internal products and marketplace dynamics that impact customers, thereby enabling the team to evolve to recognized subject matter experts.
Monitoring and monthly reporting of ongoing achievements toward implementation standardizations and impacts to timeline.
Develop internal processes and controls that ensure products maintain both operational efficiencies as well as meet financial goals (35% of time)
Ensures appropriate process and controls in place to effectively transition programs from Execution team into OCFD.
Manages ongoing monitoring plan that works with OCFD team post transition to ensure program and account owner are performing as expected by customer.
Supports functional requirements, goals, and SLAs for performance of products assigned. Development and maintenance of product standards required ongoing. (15% of time)
Brings customer opportunities and industry trends, with a voice of the customer lens to Sr Management to assist in developing new and innovative opportunities.
Assist in monthly review session with product team to review new customer requests to enable continued product development.
Assist in documenting and presenting 1-2 new product ideas annually to executive teams with justifications for resource or financial commitments from the organization based on recent customer needs (10% of time)
Provide subject matter expertise to sales and customer management to ensure assigned product growth. Representation in monthly sales and account meetings as well as presentation quarterly with those teams.
Represent products and implementation strategy directly to customers as required by ensuring SME status and integration within the teams as well as within RFPs (5% of time)
Typically requires 12+ years of professional experience with 4+ years of management experience.
7+ years strategic partner collaboration experience in healthcare, within pharmaceutical or patient access related field.
Extensive knowledge of patient journey variables and integration of solutions to support challenges
5-7 years evaluating business needs and creating solutions.
5 + years demonstrated experience developing and delivering product development solutions and/or collaborative implementations
Collaborative, customer focused skills, with proven ability to proactively create value-based solutions.
Extensive experience managing key Pharma relationships and strategic partnerships.
Outstanding communication skills; ability to connect to people at all levels
Advanced presentation and delivery skills
Enthusiastic, self-starter with confident, high energy approach to business challenges
Strong problem resolution and negotiation skills
Degree or equivalent
