Energy/Utility Analyst

JOB SUMMARY The Energy Analyst is the primary data, analytics & reporting support for CBRE's regional Energy & Sustainability program leaders (also known as Integration Managers) for a specific CBRE Client account. This role delivers actionable insights from environmental and utility data and assists in the deployment and management of a comprehensive energy & sustainability program for a single geographic region in which the CBRE Client operates (Americas, EMEA, or APAC). This includes analysis from a variety of Client driven programs. These initiatives and results could come from Energy Engineering projects, Utility source use and cost data, carbon reporting, and coordination with other Account and Platform Teams. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Economics, Engineering, Sustainability or other related field and a minimum of one year of related experience and/or training. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSESNone required, CEM preferred. COMMUNICATIONS SKILLSAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Possess excellent writing skills for reports, manuals, speeches, articles, and communications using distinctive styles and various delivery methods. Ability to respond effectively to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to an internal department, large group of employees, clients, and/or management. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with client groups to take desired action. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGERequires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Conducts intermediate financial analysis. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and averages. REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Intermediate skills with remainder of MS Office Suite. Ability to learn and utilize applications such as Capturis, Envizi, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, and Tableau. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department and client.
