Description Deloitte's new Purpose Office is seeking a highly effective Manager of Corporate Citizenship for the Los Angeles marketplace that also supports national initiatives. Corporate Citizenship is a function within our Purpose Office and a key part of our global commitment to corporate responsibility. A successful candidate will leverage their knowledge of corporate citizenship to help build client, talent and brand impact to position the firm as a market leader in LA and nationally.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and administer corporate citizenship programs to maintain and expand footprint
Provide corporate citizenship perspective and recommendations to Managing Partner on market opportunities to engage and position Deloitte brand
Advise and oversee the LA Office volunteer council to ensure strategic and meaningful year-round volunteering opportunities for our people including Impact Every Day
Build internal networks to gain scale, reach and alignment in the market for key initiatives
Cultivate and manage local nonprofit portfolio and relationships to drive collaboration, alignment and mutual firm/community benefit
Work to bring Deloitte's strategy to life locally around education and workforce development
Source and facilitate distribution of key communications that amplify strategy, story and brand.
Manage the firm's non-profit board program in LA to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
Use knowledge of LA market to strategically position the firm with key stakeholders.
Ensure strong integration with Talent, Marketing, Public Relations functions and the broader national Citizenship team
Serve as LA's strategic advisor on charitable contributions, screening requests, making recommendations, and managing the payment process.
Source strategic pro bono projects and screen requests.
Integrate Workplace Giving programs into volunteerism and manage volunteer resources to conduct the annual United Way Workplace Giving Campaign.
Periodically report on program results, with an emphasis on program outcomes.
Support strategic national initiatives 50% of the time. Specific projects and initiatives will be determined collaboratively with candidate, based upon the candidate's experience, skills and interests. Examples:
Coordinate with National Sustainability team around activation of Green Teams or other Sustainability-linked initiatives
Coordinate with Deloitte Risk to clarify guidelines associated with our role in communities; document and help communicate the guidelines
Project manage cross-market or national volunteer activation(s)
Qualifications and Skills: Required:
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university or five years of relevant professional experience may be substituted; a combination of education and other education may be substituted for the degree requirement
Experience with corporate community involvement programs, including as an external-facing representative of their organization's community involvement
Experience creating and organizing large-scale volunteer events, managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Knowledge and experience with corporate philanthropy
Able to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders within complex organizational structure
Ability to build and work in collaborative and virtual networks
Advanced in Microsoft Office suite and project management
Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
High energy, positive and professional
Limited sponsorship may be available
Understanding of program measurement and evaluation and how to apply this information to strategic recommendations
