Drive growth by developing new products and brands to keep pace with evolving consumer and category demands.
Reporting to the Brand Manager for Innovation, the Associate Brand Manager, Innovation will work with multi-disciplinary partners including Consumer Insights, Winemaking, and Marketing, to develop innovation and pipeline strategies, identify and assess new product and packaging innovation opportunities, and lead a cross-functional team to bring ideas to market.
Develop and use ongoing analysis of category, competitive, and consumer trends to keep a pulse on white space opportunities and unmet consumer needs that fuel innovative ideas across consumers, channels, and markets
Participate in ideation brainstorming sessions across identified consumer and category macrotrends for concept/proposition development
Use syndicated data and business insights to estimate market size and product potential
Participate in market visits and brand planning meetings for strong commercial, customer, and market understanding
Partner with Consumer Insights to develop product and brand hypotheses for development and consumer validation
Support Consumer Insights in conducting both qualitative and quantitative consumer research to further validate and optimize concepts that meet strategic objectives
Develop agency and R&D briefs to initiate liquid and packaging development; manage cross-functional partnerships, ensuring all key milestones are met
Develop project plan, in collaboration with the Project Management team, to deliver project from idea to launch
Work closely with agency partners through concept development, testing and optimization, ensuring key deliverables are received on time
Work cross-functionally with Winemaking, R&D, and Operations to establish benchmarks and guardrails for development; oversee liquid/package development to meet project and timeline requirements
Partner with Project Management to manage projects through Constellation Brandsâ Stage Gate Process, overseeing milestone delivery
Manage project budgets; ensure allocation of budgets across initiatives are spent in efficient and effective ways; responsible for managing monthly budget reporting and forecasting
Assist in development of best-in-class innovation practices and processes
Work closely with Brand Marketing and Sales for launch and marketing planning
Collaborate with cross-functional partners for continued improvement across product development processes
Bachelorâs degree required
Minimum 3 years of work experience; experience in CPG Marketing or Marketing Services (agency, digital marketing, media, etc) preferred
Confirmed desire and ability to think creatively coupled with strong analytical skills
Excellent social skills; very articulate, strong public speaking and writing skills
Excellent project management and organizational skills, solid financial acumen and strong attention to detail
Strong partnership skills: ability to take ownership of projects and work with interdepartmental functions to achieve project completion in a smooth and timely manner
Strong PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Successful candidate will be a very motivated self-starter and work without daily guidance
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
CPG or Alcohol Beverage industry experience preferred
Experience in packaging and creative development
Syndicated database experience (IRI or Nielsen) a plus
