As the Certification Specialist, you will support AO Smith regulatory and compliance activities for our NAWT (North America Water Treatment) division, to enable sales of certified product both domestic and international.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Liaison between third party certification agencies (NSF, WQA, IAPMO, and International Agencies) and AO Smith
Represent Regulatory Affairs within the New Product Development Teams to ensure all regulatory requirements are met throughout the development process
Propose regulatory test plans including estimated cost and timing
Prepare product certification applications, supporting documentation, and physical samples for submission to independent test laboratories
Own and maintain product certification database, including estimated cost and timing for certification renewals
Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of certification projects within and beyond the team
Work with external manufacturing locations to ensure certification compliance regarding materials of construction and product performance
Work with compliance agencies at the federal and state levels to understand certification requirements and communicate to Product Development Team to ensure compliance
Conduct oneself professionally and in accordance with A. O. Smith values
Other projects and duties as assigned

What You Will Bring
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Minimum 3 years of related work experience or training
Knowledge of regulatory, certification, and compliance requirements for POU and POE filtration systems primarily in North America and well as globally.
Knowledge of NSF/ANSI standards for Drinking Water
Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
Solid understanding of Company processes and customers
Great communication and organizational skills
Strong time management and prioritization skills in order to balance multiple projects within a defined schedule and budget
