The Assistant Teacher is responsible for assisting a classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of 10-12 children between the ages of two and five.
The hours for the open positions will be from 8:00am to 12:00pm five days per week.

The person selected for this position must have completed or be pursuing undergraduate degree in early childhood education or in a related field with 6–9 hours of course work in early childhood development.
Experience working with children
Energy and the desire to learn and explore with teachers and children
Awareness of early literacy and math instruction
Ability to embrace technology and new ways of extending students' learning and creative capacities; knowledge of Google Suite products
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and administration to support and extend the objectives of the curriculum
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and in case of emergency a 40 pound child.
Often required to stand and sit; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat or crawl.
Comfort being part of a professional learning community
Awareness of the cognitive, social, and emotional issues of early childhood age students
