Christ Episcopal School, a diverse community serving students from Preschool through grade 8, is seeking an experienced, dynamic 2nd Grade teacher for the next school year. The ideal candidate would be interested in joining a collaborative school community, providing a positive and challenging learning experience for each student, using differentiated learning strategies, integrating technology into the curriculum and demonstrating flexibility as instruction may transition between in-person and virtual settings throughout the year depending on the impact of COVID-19 in the local Rockville area. This person would also embrace the families at the school and demonstrate a passion for helping young children develop socially, emotionally, as well as academically. A successful candidate for the second grade teacher will have:
An Undergraduate degree (masters preferred) in early childhood or elementary education
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
An ability to differentiate instruction across subject areas
Experience with using technology in the classroom
A familiarity with hybrid teaching methods
A desire to work as part of a team
Good time management skills
Initiative and creativity
A high level of energy
