McKesson is seeking an Enterprise Director, Endpoint Engineering to join our team!
As the director of McKesson's Enterprise Endpoint Engineering, you will develop and maintain strategic architecture , ensuring we have quality operational plans to drive an overall world class service whilst maintaining an efficient and effective cost base. The role leads McKesson Technology endpoint Engineering Functions, including Windows workstation, Mac Workstations and Thin Client mgmt. services across our enterprise and setting the enterprise standards for McKesson Globally.
The focus within the endpoint engineering organization is to design and drive a unified, modern end user experience across the enterprise covering the whole end to end Lifecycle from architecture to operations.
This key leader within the McKesson Technology organization is responsible for effectively managing our wider portfolio for end user engineering technology, managing customer expectations, setting the organizational standard for this technology and communicating the services across the business. This leader and their staff will collaborate with other McKesson technology teams to drive a continual customer focus across the enterprise.
Strategy & Planning
Leading the team in providing a collaborative strategy and technical architecture.
Partnering with our Operations functions to ensure a smooth service transition at all times and being in sync with customers' expectations and requirements.
Deepen the culture of service orientation and customer focus.
Review and provide input for new opportunities to create a more effective service for our customers and employees.
Drive a continuous focus on innovation and continuous improvement across the service we provide
Customer Relationship - internal & external
Develop and sustain high-level customer relationships across the McKesson Enterprise
Ensure smooth service transition and operation for all delivery functions to our employees and customers in collaboration with our customers expectations; manage escalations proactively in cooperation with internal stakeholders and ensure SLAs are met/exceeded.
Understand and anticipate customer needs based on their requirements and feedback.
Drive a continual focus on service improvement and operational excellence leveraging current KPI's across the teams and ensuring we are always focused on our customers and driving the best possible service.
Confidence to innovate and drive continuous improvements across the solution team.
Leadership and People Management
Influence, coordinate and align all involved/affected internal and external parties
Build, sustain trust and engage with the teams
Provide leadership to the teams and develop and retain key talents; ensure organizational effectiveness including performance management, attrition management, talent attraction, development and succession planning.
Create a spirit of enthusiasm and energy to drive a high performing and high morale organization
Typically has 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization and people motivation skill (or equivalent experience)
Experience managing a Enterprise Endpoint Engineering teams
Experience in building and implementing modern endpoint management services and advancing service maturity
Experience leading teams engineering the following (not limited to) technologies SCCM, Windows workstations, MacOS , thin device technologies
Strong collaborative and communications skills
Experience or certification in (continuous) process improvement techniques, such as six sigma
Experience in sourcing, authoring and presenting operational and management metrics and KPI's
Ensure outsourced service providers and other third parties (integrators, product vendors, etc.) meet expectations and deliver as contractually required
Experience creating or maturing staff development programs
Experience in financial discipline and owning and managing budgets
8+ years of relevant work experience, including substantial work at a leadership or managerial level, preferably in operational roles
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Business process re-engineering experience for operational processes
Demonstrated track record of improving overall performance and productivity of IT teams - Reporting and metrics tracked and communicated
Proven and excellent cross-functional influencing skills; driving disparate teams to align on integrated goals
8+ years of proven experience in leading cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills, including the ability to be influential and persuasive with stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate change and garner the support of others
Proven leadership skills and organizational management experience
Proven experience as a member and leader of a high performing team
Experience developing, mentoring and advancing staff
A proven record of completing challenging, cross functional projects successfully
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
