Associate Professor in Business Information Systems or Supply Chain Management/Operations Management,
Department of Decision and Technology Analytics
The College of Business at Lehigh University invites applications and nominations for the position of Associate Professor in Business Information Systems or Supply Chain Management/Operations Management in the Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA), starting in Fall 2022. We seek an accomplished researcher in information systems or supply chain management/operations management. All candidates must have a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related area. Ideal candidates should have a research agenda in information systems or at the intersection of information systems and supply chain/operations management. The candidate must have strong skills in data analytics and be able to teach business analytics courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. While the position is seeking candidates who are already tenured at a comparable institution, we will also consider tenure-track candidates with strong research records who would likely be able to get tenure at Lehigh University. The candidate selected for this position may be eligible for tenure on hire.
The DATA department has nine tenured or tenure-track faculty members and four Professors of Practice in information systems (IS) and supply chain management (SCM). The successful candidate will be joining faculty in the department who publish in top-ranked journals in both IS and SCM fields. The department offers majors and minors in both business information systems and supply chain management, as well as certificates in business analytics (jointly with Department of Marketing) and FinTech (jointly with Department of Finance), all of which have been fast growing and currently have about 270 students in total. The department also supports numerous undergraduate core courses and graduate programs (e.g., MBA and M.S. in Management), and the Center for Supply Chain Research at Lehigh, which fosters industry support and research on supply chain management.
The university welcomes applications from, and nominations for, individuals with a strong academic background in information systems or supply chain management/operations management. A candidate must possess a Ph.D., have a strong record on research, teaching, and service at a level sufficient for appointment as a tenured professor, at the rank of associate professor.
Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. For full consideration, application materials should be received on-line https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/19083 by December 1, 2021. Candidates should provide a statement of teaching and research, a curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, and a cover letter.
