Solution Consultant (Process) work in close collaboration with Local sales, related Business Unit, Vertical Industry Solutions team, Process SI and Distributor to identify, approach and successfully provide technical supports for business/project opportunities in process solutions discipline.
Solution Consultant (Process) will provide technical/application expertise/supports on process automation solution & system design, project opportunity pursuing, technical supports and marketing promotion in order to meet company process business target in China and to effectively coordinate the combined resources of company sales, supporting and product groups on behalf of the customer.
Solution Consultant (Process) will utilize his/her domain expertise to identify customer key requirements and create a significant competitive advantage for the customer with sweetspot of SEEE value (Safety, Environment, Efficiency, Energy).
Travel will be based upon business requirements and will likely exceed 60 percent.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing expertise and technical consulting/supporting works to promote process solution business of Rockwell Automation and main activities are as follow:
Process Control Solution/Technology Consulting on application
Sales Call and Customer Visit Support
Review/Clarification of project requirement, specifications and system architecture.
Provide help to Delivery Partner in developing proposal.
Process solution & Technology sharing and training for Delivery Partner.
Supporting for POC opportunities for selected application/customer breakthrough
Works & takes lead in technical to co-plan and prioritize the activities which will generate greatest value of for the customer and Rockwell Automation during selling cycle for Smart manufacture & Operation solutions in process industries business.
Support Marketing program for process solutions business promotion in China especially embedded into Smart Manufacture & Operation solutions from customer sides (Tradeshow, Roadshow, Customer forum & Seminar and related external & internal company marketing events)
Provide process control expertise and technology training to share and propagate RA's process solution & technology with Distributor/SP/SI/Sales/Customer.
Provide technical supports for key process application & projects during the stage of project template developing, FAT, commissioning and troubleshooting for key process application issues.

Team KPI measurements accomplishment including but not limited to strategic goal (innovation application development, smart manufacture consulting involvement, POC and repeatable solutions development, ..etc)

* Bachelor of Science or higher degree in a technical field (ie: BS Electrical Engineering, BS Engineering Technology, BS Computer Science) or equivalent knowledge in personal computer hardware/software, industrial and process controls.
Should have experience in DCS-related application OR Industry. Must have engineering/maintenance experience in many of the following technical areas:
Engineering & Implementation & Project management experience in DCS project.
High level of expertise and knowledge in one process Application & Industry at least.
Deep application knowledge about main DCS products in the market
Instruments and Asset Management
Fieldbus technology and application
Process safety solutions
Deep understanding of DCS marketing in China
Project experience with IIOT application or Smart Manufacture & Operation solution is preferred plus.
Being familiar with S88 standard or Batch application is preferred.
Being familiar with PLC or Rockwell Automation products is preferred.
A minimum of 8 years related experience in process solutions and/or IIOT/Smart Manufacture & Operation solution
Technical sales support, engineering implementation, or consultant experience is required.
Strong customer facing and presentation skills is required.
The candidate should be familiar with outcome based selling or equivalent sales process for solution selling.
Feel comfortable for frequent business travel.
Proven organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skills. And self-motivation are essential characteristics.
