The main function of this position is to respond and resolve complex service calls providing technical support and troubleshooting to Honeywell customers. Additional responsibilities related to the technical delivery of Small Service Jobs, SPOT and Preventive Maintenance may be assigned as well. These customers will have products installed that fall into the – Life Safety and Fire systems category as well as their associated computer systems. The goal is to insure system uptime and efficiency.
Lead Technical Specialists will demonstrate expert knowledge of Honeywell systems and Industry Best Practices.
Verify system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.
Perform system backups, install appropriate updates and patches.
Complete documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc..
Update Customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes.
Ensure all assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled.
Respond to and resolve complex Emergency Service Calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables. Complex Service Calls include those on integrated and multi-vendor systems.
Diagnose and perform repairs in a time effective manner.
Promote, build and maintain good customer relations.
Keep supervisor informed of customer requirements, systems status, and actual, potential or perceived customer problems.
Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as required.
HS Diploma or equivalent
Nicet II Certification
3+ years of experience in troubleshooting, delivery of small jobs and mentoring junior technicians: troubleshooting and performing service calls on integrated and multi-vendor systems.
Knowledge of Fire alarm system codes, NFPA guidelines, devices used and functions for FA applications. Honeywell products knowledge – XLS140/3000, EBI, XLS1000, FS90.
Good presentation skills
PLT License Training
Certification on Honeywell software programming tools.
Training/Certification on Networking protocols and products.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to use tools and test equipment.
