The Practice Engagement Specialist contributes to pharmacy growth by expanding sales bandwidth in a specific territory, by prospecting, qualifying leads, developing practice relationships, and increasing share of voice for drug- and disease-based outreach. This person works collaboratively with the field-based sales, sales support, and operational teams to ensure the smooth transition of a pharmacy prescriber target to a long-term pharmacy client.
The Practice Engagement Specialist will have working knowledge of the entire range of pharmacy services. He or she is motivated by working in a team environment for the collaborative achievement of specific goals. This person will exhibit strong phone canvassing skills and complete a significant volume of impactful sales phone transactions daily. He or she is comfortable with managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in all pre-launch training to develop deep understanding of new drug or campaign profile, identify likely prescriber targets and perform sales outreach with confidence and precision
Responsible for daily sales outreach to prescriber targets in an assigned geographic territory
Document all sales activity and coordinate follow up sales contact with the Regional Practice Liaison as needed
Aggregate feedback to identify trends and potential barriers to access and affordability

Achieves strategic objectives or incremental referral pull-through targets
Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company and team cultural objectives

Facilitated study of departmental training and policy manuals
Training and departmental shadowing
Sales call observations to assess phone sales skills, content knowledge and identify any training gaps
SALES ACTIVITY METRICS AND EXPECTATIONS
Sales growth is the end result of a high level of effective sales activity, especially sales calls, defined as an actual phone conversation or face-to-face meeting with key decision-maker(s) in a targeted prescriber practice;
To ensure sufficient sales growth and efficient prescriber targeting, the Practice Engagement Specialist is responsible for reaching 40 interactions per day with target practices
Four year college degree from an accredited institution
3+ years sales experience
1+ year experience working on a fast-paced sales team successfully
1+ year experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) software
Sales experience in the healthcare field
Previous experience Salesforce software to document and manage sales activity
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to follow a sequential sales process
Demonstrated energy levels and positive outlook
Strong multi-tasking skills
Extensive phone and webinar-based communication
Fast-paced and energetic environment with frequent interruptions anticipated
Limited travel possible
