The Business Consultant will provide in-depth analysis, consultation and recommendations to clients during deployment of Fiserv liquidity products in order to ensure clients' business needs are met. The right candidate will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery and implementations and provide best-in-class solutions to the clients' business needs.
Key Responsibilities: * Ability to gather and understand client business requirements in the scope of an SmarterPay implementation project * Work with project team on functional components of the implementation project including product development, configuration and testing * Understanding of banking & deposit operations * Assist technical and business impact analysis of customer specific configurations * Document all pertinent business requirements information for all implementations in Business Requirement Definition documents and High Level Design documents. * Advanced SQL, Excel, Access query skills in order to pull data for analysis * Experience with analysing datasets in order to make recommendations, draw conclusions, or support testing initiatives * Support customer testing initiatives, including QA activities, business validation, and other testing duties as required * Experience with version control of documents and the ability to organize and update effectively and including other administrative tasks as needed * Experience with post implementation client support or production support, where you would be researching client issues or proactively addressing customer issues * Liaise closely with Product and Development teams to provide input and receive continual training * Work with Product and Development teams to come up with appropriate approaches for product integration * Perform other duties as required Primary Traits & Competencies: * Ability to understand business requirements and challenges with a working knowledge of compliance in the financial services industry * Experience in discussing and analysing technical and business topics with both technical and non-technical personnel, internally and externally * Creativity in identifying and implementing efficient and scalable implementations to meet business requirements * Capability to understand situations that are less than fully defined and detailed, exhibiting the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations * Experience in adhering to or improving procedures and processes required for the effective implementation of projects * Ability to multi-task and prioritize to accomplish workload efficiently * Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders * Comfortable in a fast-paced high-energy environment * Ability to operate and show initiative under minimal supervision * Demonstrated responsive and proactive communication skills (verbal and written) to succinctly and directly summarize and document issues, projects, protocols and processes including regular submission of clear, standardized reports to management and peers * Excellent communications skills and the ability to interact and provide customer support
