The Town School is a 109-year-old, New York City, Nursery-8th grade, coeducational school, and we seek a new Director of Admissions and Enrollment effective July 2022. The new appointee will build on our history of excellence and guide us toward future possibilities.
The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management is responsible for all aspects of the school’s admissions process. The Director oversees marketing initiatives, the assessment and selection of students, the enrollment and orientation of new families, and the reenrollment of current families. The Director reports to the Head of School, is a member of the school's senior leadership team and sits on the Board of Trustees’ marketing committee. This is a twelve-month position. Responsibilities include:
Oversee and manage the workings of a robust admissions operation, including supervising two admissions colleagues and partnering with our Director of Communications on marketing initiatives
Effectively communicate the school's mission, philosophy, values, and programs
Partner with Academic Team on retention strategies
Partner with the Director of Equity and Community Action to ensure an equitable approach to the admissions process
Foster powerful relationships with feeder programs, fellow admissions professionals, and relevant community organizations
Compile and analyze admission data trends and projections and sharing them with the Administrative Team and the Board of Trustees
Support newly enrolled students and families’ transition into the school
Participate in the financial aid decisions team
