We are currently seeking applicants for a Payroll Analyst in the Human Resources Division located at Headquarters in Springfield, MO.   

The Payroll Analyst coordinates activities in the payroll function including processing time records, executing accurate payrolls, preparing, and analyzing employer tax filings, maintaining control records for audits, responding to employee inquiries, and maintaining software related to this function. This position interacts with employees, leaders, third-party vendors, and regulatory compliance agencies.

We are seeking the following in the qualified candidate:

• A minimum of 10 years previous experience administering payroll is required.  Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of wage and hour laws, benefit, and 401K deductions, leave of absence regulations, and federal, state, and local payroll tax laws.
• Minimum of 3 years previous tax compliance and regulatory reporting experience is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, human resources or a related field is preferred. 
• Certification as a Payroll Professional is also preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to solve problems through sound compensation principles and excellent mathematical and analytical skills. 
• Demonstrate proficient skills in using Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and databases. Demonstrate advanced skills with Excel.  Experience with an HRIS is preferred.
• Demonstrate effectiveness and accuracy with detailed work, multitasking, and organization of work and resources.
• Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate excellent ability to work effectively with others, including the ability to collaborate, advise, persuade, mediate, and confront difficult issues.
• Demonstrate excellent use of judgment and discretion.
• Achieve and maintain a competent level of knowledge of Associated’s business and the roles and responsibilities of each of its divisions and locations.
