The Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator assists with the implementation of the admissions process at the Nightingale-Bamford School, which results in the selection and retention of an optimum enrollment of students with the highest probability of success. This position requires strong technical, time management, and organizational skills, effective interpersonal and communication abilities, and a high energy level. It is essential that the Admissions and Financial Aid Coordinator establish and maintain collegial relationships among all constituents – students, parents, and teachers - in the Nightingale community.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are imperative. Strong organizational skills and mastery of database systems/technology are extremely important.
The responsibilities listed below are not meant to entirely define the scope of the position, but should act as a guide to specific accountabilities. Responsibilities may be added at the discretion of the Director of Admissions and/or Head of School as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for managing the OnBoard admissions platform, including but not limited to: updating and setting up divisional applications and checklists; inputting tour/interview/event dates/times; inputting and managing events, including RSVP forms; managing and overseeing all applicant files; coordinating, inputting, and processing all file submissions.
- Generate weekly tour/interview spreadsheets.
- Generate and schedule necessary zoom links for all virtual events.
- Assist in communications of all virtual events with participants and attendees.
- Creating and overseeing all Google forms for revisits, events, surveys, etc.
- Assist in creating content to be posted on Nightingale IG account, specifically around admissions events/activities, in collaboration with the Communications department.
- Generate name tags as needed.
- Create and maintain schedules for student and parent tour guides.
- Create student applicant paper files.
- Assist in planning and coordination of in-person Admissions events.
- Assist with Kindergarten visits/assessments and Middle/Upper School placement work days, including the production of all paperwork.
- Participate in weekly office meetings.
- Answer phones and respond to email queries from prospective families.
- Liaise with the Business Office for Financial Aid packages for students.
- Exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive Admission issues.
- Assume additional duties as assigned
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience in a forward facing, administrative support role.
- Must be analytical and possess a strong attention to detail.
- Is knowledgeable of database systems, structure, and best practices.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and written; an ability to communicate complex issues, as well as to maintain open communication channels with relevant stakeholders.
- Ability to alight with the strategic vision of the department.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, creative, professional and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Must be proactive and enthusiastic about our work around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive admission and financial issues.
