TheRole: ESG Product Manager, Workflow Tools and Release Readiness
Grade: 12 or 13 ( relevant for internal applicants only )
The Location: Virtual; New York, NY; Centennial, Colorado; Charlottesville, VA
The Team: This is a team that sits within S&P Global's Sustainable1(S1) business, an organization focused on ESG data, analytics and solutions; the role will interact with the S1 and SPGI's divisional ESG teams to support the end-to-end release readiness of product development initiatives to ensure the smoothest launch. . We are seeking a product manager who will partner with each member of the S1 Product team responsible for building out ESG & Climate Solutions across multiple delivery channels including desktop and feeds. You will support strategic initiatives to achieve release excellence, mitigate risk, and ensure the highest quality product delivery

Be the champion for product releases; participate in release planning, understand roadmap deliverables that have been prioritized for each release, review project plans to identify and flag dependencies/potential risks, partner with solution/platform Product managers to develop launch readiness plan.
Be accountable for release readiness during standard and off-cycle releases, scheduled and ad-hoc product updates.
Develop readiness plans for each of the discreet data solutions/capabilities, including identification of potential business and technical release blockers and escalation paths, ensuring sign-off on testing across the development life cycle.
This role will be responsible for regular, proactive reporting on status of projects in-flight, flagging release issues, and partnering with the Product lead to remediate/close-out issues during and after release.
Partnering with technology to lead retrospectives and identify ways to constantly improve processes.
Supporting the go-to-market readiness program with internal release communications, partnering with marketing & sales to ensure creation of external/internal content assets, tracking and reporting KPIs (usage, data errors, , client platform migration progress).
Collate and capture product team activity reports.
Facilitate and own a cross-divisional multi-release roadmap of product development initiatives, working with stakeholders to ensure greater transparency for internal and external clients.
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of Product Management/Development experience within the financial industry
Experience working within the Agile framework
Natural curiosity about our products and market trends and how we can serve them
Experience with ESG market: market needs, competitive landscape, methodologies, regulatory landscape and market trends
Tech savvy - understand latest technologies for desktop and feed product development
Ability to influence, negotiate and build trust (SPGI leadership and across S&P Divisions); must be strong communicator
Self-starter that can work independently with little supervision, and lead teams to a common goal
Juggle and lead multiple projects
Capable of building out and influencing a network of partners and resources from existing pool of talent in and outside ESG teams.
Presentation skills (both in spoken and written formats), e.g. strategic plan development, strong PowerPoint skills, client interaction skills, training, business / financial analysis & reporting
Command respect with senior audiences both internal and external
Collaboration across global teams and with multiple functional roles including technology, data & content operations, client services
Product Development experience within the ESG space.
Experience managing product releases for a large organization with a diverse client base
A program management background for a financial services or data organization
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,800-230,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
