Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. Ensures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for support and improvement of Milwaukee Manufacturing 100-C Line, a highly automated and high speed manufacturing production line. This includes daily line support providing issue resolution, quality planning, process audits and proactive continuous improvement activities to insure quality levels meet internal and external customer expectations.
This position is responsible for driving efforts to improve internal defects per unit, external Parts Per Million, reduce scrap and improve overall quality. Developing and evaluating processes using capability studies, process control plans, analysis of out-of-control conditions and process audits with objective to improve process performance is required. This role is also responsible for investigating product quality issues and providing appropriate containment, using standard problem solving techniques and tools to lead the team to identify root cause and develop corrective actions.
This position will support new product Introduction process, drive resolution of customer issues through utilization of proper problem solving tools such as 8D, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), A3 structured problem solving and establish quality operating rhythm around continuous improvement by developing target goals and working directly with associates, engineers and management to drive results. The ability to maintain working relationships with business units, customer service, supplier quality, manufacturing engineering, and production associates is crucial to the role.
The ability to prepare, maintain, and present quality reports will be required. This role will participate in team development to modify, maintain, and follow quality standards as established by the Rockwell QMS system in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. This role ensures that quality is built into our processes and is a dynamic, fast-paced role which requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for quality improvement and providing appropriate support in the area of quality control.
This work requires attention to detail, managing multiple priorities and taking actions with minimal direction which may encompass but not limited to the following:

- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing appropriate support of quality activities within the Mequon manufacturing facility, taking responsibility to correct customer problems and concerns and ensuring that all work activities add value (directly or indirectly) to the customer or partner
- Recognize who customers are, both internally and externally, responding to the unique needs of individual customers and seek feedback from customers to identify improvement opportunities
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures
- Balance many priorities and competing demands effectively while modifying personal work activities and methods to eliminate wasted effort and inefficient methods and stay focused
Skills:
- Ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Capability for MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Microsoft Outlook and PowerBI
- Ability to be self-directing, manage time and priorities effectively, take initiative, exercise good judgment, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years related experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- ISO documentation systems knowledge and experience
- Previous experience with automation equipment, processes, and products
- Familiarity with SAP preferred
