JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, Paid PLUS Operations will serve as the discipline knowledge expert on the MDS team for the PLUS platform. The position will serve as the technical liason for MDS to Koddi, the PLUS platform product owners and serve as the expert across MDS client teams. This role is responsible for keeping up to date and influecing MDS hotel'ss activation on the PLUS platform, and Expedia Travelads.
The Manager is tasked with staying up-to-date on industry best-practices, responsible for development, implementation, day-to-day operation, testing and development of digital products and platforms within the Digital Services programs. He or she will work cross-functionally with the Global Paid Media team and Marriott Digital teams to advance the value of paid media marketing at the hotel level. This role includes supervision of vendors with the creation and implementation of paid media products across client programs and for special projects. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, MDS Operations.
Marriott's Digital Services (MDS) team provides digital solutions for all Marriott brand hotels, globally. This centralized in-house team provides individual hotels with a range of digital services, and functions as an agency-like model within the Global Digital organization.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- BS/BA degree in hospitality, marketing, communications, advertising, or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience (digital marketing, paid media buying, communications, etc.)
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Work, Projects, and Policies
- Serves as the discipline knowledge expert on the MDS team for the PLUS platform.
- Operates as the technical liason for MDS to Koddi, the PLUS platform product owners and serves as the expert across MDS client teams.
- Keeps up to date and influences MDS hotel's activation on the PLUS platform, and Expedia Travelads.
- Identifies opportunities and lead development prioritization of Marriott Digital Services digital paid media platform needs.
- Works in close partnership with PLUS product owners, Koddi and Client Service teams
- Supports Global Client Service teams on product questions, provides guidance and education
- Provide guidance, expertise and coaching to vendor based teams executing MDS media strategies
- Continually updates and aligns paid media strategies with new and emerging best technology practices, to improve quality, effectiveness and efficiency.
- Complies and keeps paid media technology road map(s) documentation and standards up to date, to ensure quality, consistency and adherence to Marriott's global digital strategy.
- Creates new workflows, training guidelines and documentation (as needed) to continually improve paid media tactic quality and effectiveness with technology.
Owning Relationships
- Works cross-functionally with enterprise and brand teams to advance paid media opportunities at the hotel level.
- Owns vendor platform relationships and exploring new technology vendor platform opportunities.

Tools and Vendors
- Persuade and influence cross-functional team to reach desired digital outcome
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve digital media management platform performance goals
- Provide business and thought leadership to other business disciplines to coordinate and leverage various digital media platform requirements
- Provides paid media training and support on internal Marriott paid media systems and tools.
- Main point of contact with internal product owners and outside vendors, coordinating training and support on their tools and dashboards.
Measurement and Analytics
- Analyzes campaign performance; provides both strategic and tactical recommendations for increased performance.
- Identifies advertising channels that are most effective at driving conversions, revenue, ROI, and scale across Digital Service programs.
- Measures the success of time-sensitive content using appropriate key performance indicator (KPI) classifications based on media type - impressions, clicks, CPB, CTR, CPC, CPA, CPM, RFPs, Call to Book, conversions.
- Reviews and analyzes results from current program offerings, recommends changes and enhancements to help increase conversions, revenue and ROI.

- Provides training on tactical processes and best practices to Analyst(s), Client Service Managers, external clients and vendors.
- Makes sure others understand performance expectations and technology road maps.
