What you’ll be doing...
The primary purpose of the Client Partner - Large Enterprise (Hyperscale) Accounts is to engage in medium to long range client opportunity development activity in alignment with the Verizon Business Group (VBG) Hyperscaler target market. This position is viewed as a key driver for incremental opportunities and growth from the Hyperscaler accounts which requires high energy, professionalism, ability to interact at all management levels, and a proven track record of success. You must have an ability to operate with significant self-direction and motivation to position at senior levels across the business with strong negotiating skills.
You will be responsible for the cultivation, development and qualification of medium to large scale opportunities that directly contribute to the overall team/company objectives. You will be accountable to provoke, uncover, nurture and close standard to complex solutions by collaborating with clients, partners, third party organizations along with a broad range of internal Verizon stakeholders in order to co-create new thought-leadership and innovation that is compelling to mutually beneficial business plans.
- Identify, explore and develop client target market segmentation.
- Assess market direction, potential and postures for Hyperscaler targets.
- Direct client marketing strategies and campaign activities.
- Direct medium to long term client positioning strategy.
- Analyze and prioritize client opportunities based on market intelligence.
- Manage multiple priorities and develop strong business relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Team with internal colleagues to develop creative solutions.
- Focus on quarter over quarter sales and revenue attainment/growth.
- Articulate the value proposition with mutually beneficial “win-win” results.
Northwest Areas are the preferred locations but other west coast locations would be considered.
What we’re looking for...
This is primarily a customer facing business development sales role, and as such you will require excellent relationship management skills and a proven track record in developing trusted business relationships with decision makers up to boardroom/C level.
You'll need to have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of experience.
- Six or more years of relevant experience.
- Five or more years of prior experience in business development and vast knowledge of the Hyperscaler community.
- Experience in transformational sales; software defined networking, unified communications, managed network services, cloud services and digital security.
- Experience in developing relationships and generating qualified opportunities.
- Social selling and networking experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
- A valid Driver's License.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
- Highly developed interpersonal and client facing skills.
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- An advanced understanding of business development lifecycles and associated best practice methodologies.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing and growing revenue for large accounts with geographically distributed teams.
