JOB SUMMARY The Foundation Specialist provides guidance and support in the implementation of fundraising programs and activities; identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards gifts; and provides broad-based support to higher-level foundation staff for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of highprofile donors. In support of fundraising efforts for the Foundation, this position will be a primary organizational support to help coordinate development efforts and manage development related functions. He/She will rely on experience and judgment to plan, execute, and problem solve. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, conducting themselves in a professional demeanor and have the ability to interface effectively with staff, donors and volunteers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Develops, coordinates, staffs and facilitates fundraising activities and events, as approved.
Cultivates relationships with individuals, corporations and/or foundations for the purpose of developing strategies to implement donor solicitations.
Represents the institution at business, community, and professional organizations.
Writes, prepares, and disseminates donor correspondence, reports and fundraising materials.
Uses consistent, accurate and appropriate information sharing mechanisms for communicating with prospects and donors. Responds to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
Provide independent, confidential, complex, high-level administrative planning and project support.
Oversees the management of calendars to include scheduling and rescheduling and prioritizing as needed. Schedules and attends departmental staff meetings. Prepares agendas and makes arrangements for meetings.

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; two-years experience required.
