Wilmington Friends School, a preschool to 12th grade Quaker, college preparatory, day school located in Wilmington, Delaware seeks a full-time fourth grade teacher for the fall of 2022. A highly qualified candidate is one who:
Understands the developmental needs of, and has a love for, working with children in the upper elementary grades
Is particularly familiar with teaching math, using the Singapore math curriculum
Will bring imagination, a positive attitude, and energy to work with children of ranging experiences and abilities
Is committed to planning and teaching interdisciplinary units in cooperation with the lead teacher in our other section of fourth grade
Seeks to serve on a faculty that is very committed and involved in all areas of school life
A qualified candidate will have a minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in education, and classroom experience, preferably at a fourth-grade level.We will interview, and invite to campus for a demonstration teaching lesson, those candidates whose interests and experiences best fit our needs.
