-Responsible for overall payroll function of the cooperative
-Process bi-weekly payroll
-Ensure accurate and timely completion, filling and payment of all payroll related taxes
-Process payments of taxes and fees to appropriate agencies
-Assist with month-end closing procedures
-Assist with preparation of monthly board reports
-Assist with preparation of annual financial budget
-Compile data and prepare various financial reports as needed
-General ledger reconciliations
-Prepare and post journal entries as needed
-Prepare accounts receivable statements. Review account balances and ensure payments are received; send additional invoices as applicable
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Must be self-disciplined, organized, productive and work accurately. Must be able to handle a variety of tasks. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be capable of not revealing confidential information and follow procedural safeguards to make sure confidential information is not accessible to others. Must be proficient in the use of spreadsheet, database and word processing software applications.
Bachelor degree in accounting or related field is desired, but an Associate degree with accounting experience may be substituted. Payroll and RUS accounting experience is strongly preferred.
