EDL is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our North American Project Delivery team.
The ideal candidate will have experience with gas upgrading, power generation systems and equipment, and exposure to emerging market trends, including renewable natural gas projects and distributed generation, as well as proven ability to plan, schedule, and lead complex projects. Experience with contracting models including EPC and multiple prime contracts is assumed.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be joining a highly capable, multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for delivering EDL’s renewable energy projects. You will have primary responsibility for the safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of capital projects ranging from large greenfield RNG facilities to renewable electricity production to focused, fast-paced plant betterment capital improvements. This role requires internal and external stakeholder interaction (from pre-positioning for the work through project completion) and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Promote the safe delivery of capital projects
- Develop and maintain collaborative internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Proactively monitor and maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget. Develop appropriate recovery plans if required
- Report on project performance in an earned value framework to local and global leadership
- Provide regular communication and coordination to stakeholders to align the project work plan and expectations on deliverables. Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness, and conformance to the project requirements
- Perform project reviews and design work in your area of engineering expertise
- Adhere to EDL project management protocols and corporate governance
- Coordinate construction and start-up activities
- Employ EDL risk management tools to evaluate project risks and mitigants
- Provide daily leadership to the project team in completion of project activities
- Other duties as assigned from time to time by the company, consistent with your experience and company needs
- Engineering Degree or similar technical degree required
- Registered Professional Engineer preferred
- 15+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 10+ years of progressive Project Management experience and responsibility
- Management of engineering, procurement, and construction projects more than $20M
- Experience within the construction or operation of gas refining, renewable natural gas or power generation industry preferred
- Knowledge of statutory requirements relating to the industry preferred
