Perform daily accounting functions related to Member power sales and purchases, and transmission and understand the relationship to the ATF accounting function and the Billing Unit Program. Learn responsibilities of the Energy Services Project Administrator to provide backup services and assist in special projects when required.  Work closely with Energy Services Administrators III to provide assistance as instructed by the Director of Energy Services. Approve pre-schedule e-tags and confirm pre-schedule net schedules with the host Balance Authority Area. Work closely with ACES related to front office activities related to our Members and Customers. The ability to think dynamically and independently as well as under pressure is essential.

• Responsible for maintaining the Member ATF accounting of sales and purchases and the Member Billing Unit Program.
• Assist Energy Services staff on daily accounting and billing process for both AEPCO and SWTC activities.
• Assist and work closely with ACES related to AEPCO activities.
• Assist Energy Services Administrator III with Natural Gas accounting and billing functions and with CalSO accounting and reporting functions.
• Assist Energy Services Project Administrator on special projects such as the annual budgeting process and analysis of unit outages.
• Learn Fuels Administrator’s responsibilities relating to Coal and Rail services. Backup and support Fuels Administrator as needed.
• Prepare internal & external reports as needed.
• Interface closely with Sierra Accounting Department providing data as requested related to Energy Services Dept.
• Interface with other internal departments and external entities, as needed.

• Bachelors Degree in Business or Accounting, or related field.
• 2+ years of power system experience to include, 2 years’ experience in contract writing and negotiations and 2 years’ experience in Reliability and Transmission related activities: basic knowledge of Open Access Transmission Tariffs, Transmission Planning, Reserve Obligations and Code of Conduct requirements.
• Basic background and understanding of the El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline Tariff.
• Basic knowledge of Operations activities related to generation & transmission.
• Basic understanding of Finance & Accounting functions.
• Knowledge of OASIS scheduling, NERC Tagging and MCG software.
• Basic knowledge of Class A Full and Partial Requirements contracts and BUP accounting and billing software.
• Basic knowledge of AEPCO customer contracts.
• High mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills and ability.
• High proficiency with PC and software packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.
• Any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for requirements listed above.
