Our organization is seeking an experienced Sr. Risk & Insurance professional with large commercial lines experience. You have to be able to multi-task and work with our clients (C-Suite contacts), brokers and our internal staff providing day-to-day management for a varied book of large commercial lines clients in the Real Estate & Development industry. We are advisors on exciting large development projects, commercial and habitational real estate and, overall, complex account services. Here are some of the things with which you should be well experienced:
- Insurance Policy Management – renewals, audits, coverage understanding, etc. – expect premiums of $1M+;
- Directing client services as respects brokers, engineering/safety, claims (TPAs), as well as other third parties on behalf of the client;
- Insurance marketing initiatives to include market and broker selection, coverage specifications and the compilation of exposure and loss data;
- Have great skills with complex contract review – what risks are in large contracts and how should they be amended? Review insurance and indemnity language in leases, loan covenants and contracts;
- Work with lenders and clients on acquisition/ divestiture due diligence;
- Assist clients with developing internal risk management/ loss control best practices, procedures and protocols;
- Report and track claims activity and, effectively, act as the client’s claims advocate.
Candidate must have:
- Five (5) to seven (7) + years in a similar role (AE/AM, Risk Manager),
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (any additional certifications/ designations are a plus)
- Excellent customer service, organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Personable and able to work in a high energy and fast paced environment
- Attention to detail
