About our client
Our client-a leading energy and infrastructure fund-is expanding its team and seeks an associate to join its Mexico City team. You will have a chance to work alongside senior team members in analysing investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sector in Mexico. Our client seeks a hands-on individual to play an active role in all aspects of the transaction, from origination through to execution and asset management. It is an exciting opportunity with a solid career path to becoming a senior member and partner in the fund.

What the job involves

Help to analyse potential investments in the energy infrastructure sector from a financial, economic, and operating perspective
Develop financial models to analyse potential investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
Support in the structuring and financing of the transactions
Work closely with senior team members on all issues related to deal closing
Play an active role in portfolio/asset management, monitoring financial, commercial, operating and ESG factors
Prepare regular investment and valuation reports for senior management and investors
Support capital raising initiatives

Who we are looking for

Several years' experience in investment banking, private equity or strategic management consulting; knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors (power generation, oil & gas, transportation, water, etc.) is a plus
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, actuary sciences or similar field
Superior analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders j
Hands-onon and energetic team player
Advanced level of English
