Support senior members of lateral team with all aspects of the lateral hiring process and special projects.
Independently source candidates, solicit practice group interest, extend invitations to interview and maintain regular status reports.
Assist with training of lateral recruiting assistant and serve as their first stop for questions; collaborate with assistant to execute projects and manage deadlines.
Work with practice group leaders to identify staffing needs, devise search strategies, and draft advertisements; organize search overviews with headhunters and practice groups, as needed for specific roles.
Serve as key resource and first point of contact for partners and respond to requests in timely manner; use existing procedures to answer routine questions and solve complex problems.
Identify and contribute to solutions for needed process improvements.
Autonomously screen unsolicited resumes, coordinate interview schedules, collect interview feedback and act as liaison to lateral candidates throughout the interview process; create and prepare offer and arrival packets.
Facilitate offer letters and onboarding documents; record all resume submissions in applicant tracking system and ensure that file retention policy is adhered to.
Take initiative to establish and maintain own relationships with legal search firms, and work with search firms to advertise open positions.
Proactively engage with legal hiring market to stay abreast of vendors and trends; track lateral survey results.
Develop lateral recruiting marketing materials and update the lateral careers page.
Assist with lateral integration and diversity initiatives.
Prepare drafts of fee agreements for approval.
Maintain content on applicant tracking system and serve as liaison with vendor.
Collaborate with HR, Conflicts and office management teams to conduct formal due diligence and prepare orientation for lateral hires; serve as liaison between candidate and various departments, including Benefits, to answer questions or concerns beyond scope of expertise in own department.
QUALIFICATIONS / KSAs
Bachelor's degree required.
Must be able to effectively function in a fast paced service environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks.
