Directs the efforts of Tri-County Electric Cooperative, Inc. (TCEC) in power supply activities related to load forecasts, power resource planning and acquisition, contract development related to power purchases, power marketing, system dispatch and operations (control center), rate design, industrial and economic development as well as wholesale marketing activities.
Essential Job Functions:
Direct the power supply design team to develop power management solutions for TCEC.
Design, implement and administer industrial development, economic development, marketing, and load management programs, subject but not limited to meeting and negotiating supply of power to consumers.
Design rates to promote and implement above-listed programs that are fair and equitable to all distribution members.
Negotiate and administer power contracts and interconnection/interchange agreements for TCEC.
Represent TCEC at public and governmental functions as designated by the President/CEO.
Responsible for regulatory matters.
Directs forecasting, power resource planning, marketing, and operations.
Design, develop, and administer wholesale power rate structures using computer models and communicate rates to member systems and other power producers.
Negotiate TCEC power requirements with other electric G&T companies which includes justification for non-compliance with power requirement contracts-subject but not limited to load and transmission access agreements.
Negotiate and administer transmission interconnection and transmission interchange agreements on behalf of TCEC and its member systems.
Direct assigned personnel responsible for TCEC power requirement studies-subject but not limited to system load forecasting accomplished via data developed and input into computer models.
Represent the interests of TCEC and its members before state and federal agencies such as the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Texas Public Utility Commission, ERCOT, etc.

Works with Senior Staff members and other cooperative members to address power supply initiatives
(Scale: Rarely = Less than 5%, Occasionally = 5% - 25%, Frequently = More than 25%)
