We are currently seeking students in Accounting and/or Finance curriculums to fill a paid accounting internship at our Headquarters facility in Springfield, Missouri. This position offers part time employment in the spring and fall, and full time employment in the summer. We will work around your class schedule. Normal working days are Monday through Friday. You could also potentially receive course credit while working at AECI! Contact your school’s career center for more information.
Qualified applicants must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least a 3.0 GPA preferred. You must also be enrolled in school at the time of the internship.
Managing requests for invoices
Preparing monthly accounts receivable reports
Preparing monthly financial reports
Preparing miscellaneous journal entries
Preparing workpapers for the quarterly financial statement reports
Assisting with the fixed asset inventory at each coal plant
Assisting with AECI’s annual audit
