Steward Energy II, LLC ("Steward") is a privately funded oil and gas E&P company with operating assets in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. Steward seeks an experienced Landman to join its team full-time at its corporate office in Frisco, Texas.
Negotiating Oil and Gas Leases, Operating Agreements, Pooling Agreements, acreage trades, and other property acquisitions
Working with legal counsel to prepare title opinions, assignments, farm-outs, term assignments, deeds, and other related legal documents
Directing field brokers to ensure the timely completion of abstracts and curative; monitoring lease buyers’ activity and their progression through lease negotiations
Interacting with Steward’s operations and management team to provide high-level updates of contractual obligations, requirements, and expirations
Exceptional preparation, interpreting and negotiating skills of Land related contracts, such as Oil and Gas Leases, Pooling Agreements, Operating Agreements, Surface Use Agreements, and Right-of-Way
Complete understanding of calculating working and net revenue interest, both before and after payout
Knowledgeable with state regulatory agencies with jurisdiction over the oil and natural gas industry
Communicate effectively with mineral owners, working interest owners, surface owners, and local, state, and federal agencies
Self-motivated and capable of independent problem-solving skills
