Morgan Stanley's North American Fixed Income Research team is looking for a senior Associate or Vice President to join the credit strategy team. The role involves forming investment views in the investment grade corporate bond market, building and maintaining analytical models, writing research notes, communicating with institutional investor clients, and performing customized analysis for those clients. The candidate must possess some background in investment grade credit, have some familiarity with debt and issuer structures, strong corporate finance, excel, data management, oral, and written communication skills. Specific Responsibilities: ??? Cross asset credit market analysis ??? Fixed-income market analysis ??? Corporate credit analysis ??? Research and write reports on investment strategy related to leveraged credit markets ??? Respond to requests for data, information and calls from internal and external clients ??? Keep abreast of industry-related news flow ??? Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investor clients ??? Regular interaction with fixed-income sales and trading ??? Understand the nuances of the industry Skills Required: ??? Proven writing skills ??? Strong verbal communication skills ??? Ability to develop analytical frameworks for formulating investment recommendations ??? Outstanding analytical/financial skills including experience with credit markets ??? ??? 4-7 years work experience in a research, trading, banking, capital markets, or investment capacity in credit markets ??? Capabilities in bond math and applied statistical methods ??? Programming skills and some sector knowledge are helpful, but not required
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 200000 and 250000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
