The Opportunity: A career in insurance provides not just a paycheck, but also a purpose. At its heart, the insurance industry is about protecting the members of a community. Today’s world is full of risks with the potential to impact our families, businesses, communities, and economy. On average a cyberattack occurs every 11 seconds. Strong risk management practices can help protect companies from falling victim and help them recover if the worst happens. In 2021, 58,733 wildfires burned more than 7.13 million acres across the U.S., resulting in $70 - $90 billion in damage. When the smoke clears, insurers are there to help individuals and businesses rebuild and recover.
It’s anticipated that 50% of the current insurance workforce will retire by 2028, opening a wide array of career opportunities for newcomers. Once you have a foot in the industry, you’ll find a diverse range of opportunities are available to match your interests as you build a thriving career in a growing field.
