Our client is currently seeking a Safety Analysis Engineer for its office in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a hybrid work opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing consulting engineering services for the firm. This may include:
Technical problem solving
Evaluation model and methods development
Software development and validation tasks
Other engineering activities
Tasks will be varied and may change frequently based on the needs of current clients. The employee will be responsible for providing both written and oral reports to fellow employees and clients. With our client being a small company, the individual selected will have the opportunity to make a significant impact immediately. Our client provides services to several relevant advanced reactor developers as well as supporting the operating fleet. This provides the team exposure to a variety of cutting-edge technologies and customers in the nuclear energy landscape.
Job Requirements:
A BS Nuclear, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical, Electrical Engineer (with Utility plant experience) or a similar field
4+ years industry experience
Must be highly motivated and capable of working well both alone and in a team
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be highly proficient with computers, familiarity with Linux and programming desired
Experience with computational Thermal-Hydraulics desired, including CFD, sub-channel analysis and/or systems codes
Coding or scripting experience is preferred
Experience with power plant systems is preferred
40 Hours/Week, Mon-Fri
